Resident Meeting

Dear residents,

The Resident Association Committee (RAC) with collaboration with Ki Huat will arrange a meeting with all residents of BSL1.  The key topic of discussion is about the service management fee for 2010 and beyond.  Also in the agenda will be the appointment of new committee members.  The RAC will announce the venue, date and time of the meeting once it is confirmed.  Announcement will be via letters and this blog.

    The committee has been waiting nearly 1 month for KiHuat to provide us important information for us to discuss with you in our resident meeting. We have not got everything until today. Without these information there is no point to call for the meeting. Example:- how much is the overhead expenses for the security guards, matters related to the service agreement, etc.

    The committee will try our best to get these information and will let you know once we have news.

  2. Finally, I got some answers from KiHuat. There is still one more key question not answer yet. Once I got all of them, the committee will decide on the resident meeting.

  3. Dear residents,

    The developer informed the committee that the registrar of society had approved the formation of our resident association last week.

    The developer is now preparing to hand over documents to the committee for us to open a current account with a local bank for the purpose of maintenance fee collection.

    We are also working closely with developer to understand the financial position of maintaining our guards, landscape and etc.

    More update will come when we have news.

    By now you may already received an invitation letter from KiHuat to the resident meeting scheduled to be held on 24 Oct 2009 at 3PM. The venue is next to the BSL 1 guard house. Canopy, table/chairs and food will be prepared.

    If you have not received the invitation letter, please take this message as the official notice.

    My husband and I didn’t manage to join the resident meeting last weekend due to prior engagements. Would appreciate if you could share with us the key matters discussed during the meeting.

  6. Hi Amy,

    We have a very successful meeting with a large turnout. Majority of the residents agreed to raise the maintenance fee by additional RM40 per month. There are 7 new committee members elected. The commitee members will meet again soon to discuss when we should start collecting the new fee.

    A proper announcement of last weekend meeting will be publish in this blog soon.

  9. Dear Edwin,

    In order to make your life easier, I would suggest that we should collect the maintenance charges annually or at least half-yearly.

    May be we can open it for discussion, and seek for others resident’s opinion too.
